Build a Carpenter's Guild and give it wood

To get carpentry points in County of Fortune, build a Carpenter's Guild and supply it with wood. Free construction points can help you begin building, but a supplied guild establishes the regular carpentry production used by your infrastructure. That matters as new buildings and maintenance increase the work your region must support.

The official demo FAQ and construction-point updates explain both the production chain and where to inspect its balance.

Set up the wood-to-guild chain

Establish a way to produce wood and construct the Carpenter's Guild. Make sure the supplying settlement and the guild can receive the goods they need through your regional network.

Nivarias's narrated demo playthrough provides a player-experience example: a logging settlement sends logs to a connected settlement with a Carpenter's Guild. The useful lesson is the input connection, not the particular settlement names, mayor percentages or old per-year output figures in that recording.

If the guild shows a missing-input warning, inspect its production-chain tooltip before adding more construction. A guild building without its wood supply is not a working point-production chain.

Read the regional balance and tooltip

The October interface shows construction points directly in the top-right bar. It indicates which type is relevant and warns when an available amount reaches zero.

The detailed tooltip explains the chain and shows where production takes place in the region. The developer's construction-point overview also describes the tooltip showing the corresponding construction materials available in storage. You can select the region to inspect the broader balance.

Use those displays together: the available point balance tells you what the region can draw on, while the production information helps identify whether your guild is supplying enough. The October updates changed many time-based figures from yearly to monthly calculations, so do not use an older video's numerical rate as a current target.

Increase production when maintenance competes with building

Carpentry points are used for construction and maintenance. The FAQ's suggested responses to falling building maintenance include giving more recipes to the guild's settlement to improve efficiency, or unlocking extra building slots elsewhere and adding another guild to spread the workload.

Check wood supply while expanding guild capacity. Another guild still needs its input, and greater potential output on a building card does not prove that missing materials are being supplied.

Free construction points are a separate help. They increase gradually and can replace carpentry points during construction. Since the October changes, they can also be applied after construction has already started; that does not establish that they replace the guild's ongoing maintenance role.

FAQ

What produces carpentry points?

A Carpenter's Guild supplied with wood. Both the guild and its input source are part of the official production requirement.

Can I use free construction points after placing a building?

Yes. The October quality-of-life update allows them to be used while construction is already underway, rather than only at placement.

How can I support more maintenance?

The FAQ recommends improving the guild settlement's efficiency with more recipes or adding another guild through an available building slot, while keeping the input supply working.
