Use More Equipment After Reaching Level 2
Once a settlement reaches level 2, supplying more equipment increases the maximum number of workers in its buildings. More food recipes can improve building efficiency. These are related ways to strengthen production, but worker capacity and efficiency are different effects.
The official County of Fortune demo FAQ gives both recommendations in its answer about worker availability after the level-2 upgrade. It does not describe a separate instant worker-spawn command or a fixed population timer.
Check the Correct Needs and Building Tabs
Open the upgraded settlement and inspect its equipment needs. Level-2 settlements have Commoner content, so make sure you are viewing the relevant social-class tab instead of assuming the earlier Peasant view shows everything available.
The official interface instructions identify a green Commoners icon in both the Buildings and Needs tabs. Equipment at this stage can provide more than the extra building space familiar from the earlier settlement economy: it can also raise maximum worker capacity.
Use the settlement's current interface to see which needs are supplied and which building capacity is available. The obtained FAQ does not provide a complete equipment-to-worker numerical table.
Make Sure the Equipment Actually Arrives
An available product in the region is not the same as a fulfilled need in the target settlement. Assign the receiving equipment and check the supply chain.
For local distribution, roads must connect the central market squares. Vendors begin moving the assigned goods when enough product is available. If supply originates in another region, the correct markets or raft ports and a valid trade route are also needed.
Missing-input warnings can reveal why an equipment workshop is not operating. Building-card maximum production values should not be mistaken for proof of current output.
Improve Efficiency Alongside Capacity
More recipes provide another way to improve the settlement's output. The official FAQ distinguishes this efficiency improvement from the equipment benefit to maximum workers.
That distinction makes troubleshooting easier. If the problem is the building's worker ceiling, review equipment. If the concern is production efficiency, review available recipes and the inputs required by the building. A higher capacity does not manufacture missing resources, and an efficiency improvement does not prove that more workers have arrived.
Keep expansion balanced with maintenance. Additional working buildings still need the carpentry or masonry support appropriate to the infrastructure.
FAQ
What increases maximum workers after level 2?
The official FAQ says providing more equipment increases the maximum workers in the settlement's buildings.
Do extra recipes provide the same effect?
The FAQ describes additional recipes as improving efficiency, rather than presenting them as the same worker-capacity effect.
Where can I inspect Commoner needs?
Open the Needs tab and select the green Commoners icon.
Is a fixed worker-arrival time confirmed?
Not in the obtained official answer. Check the current settlement information instead of relying on an invented timer or population-growth formula.
